My approach to wellness is not about acquiring more self discipline or will power. I’ll support you to integrate a practice of healthy living into your life.
It’s not about trying to attain the fabled work-life balance either. I work with women creating their own rhythms in life, women who know that a full life, a life that fulfills them, ebbs and flows. They know it can get messy, that there is no blueprint to authentic living.
Choosing to live a healthy life, to make the choices that benefit your well-being, and to raise healthy, strong children takes courage. It takes spirit.

1. It’s More Than the Food
What you eat is important, and real, whole foods are the foundation to vibrant health and energy. But food is only part of the equation. How you live your life- your relationships, work, the schedules you keep and the beliefs you hold all influence your well-being and the choices made around nourishing yourself.
2. Personalize Everything
As a lifestyle entrepreneur you want to create your own rhythms in life. You pursue creative work, follow your passions, dress in a style all your own. You raise your family, run your businesses and create your own schedule. You approach life as a unique individual. That same approach to wellness will make a huge difference in your health.
3. Real Life Application
How and what you eat is often influenced by your individual and family schedules. Healthy eating has to fit into your life, not the other way around. A 10-minute quick-n-healthy meal made with real foods and eaten together as a family is far healthier than dinner from a box, a calorie laden take-out meal or a gourmet meal that creates stress to prepare (not to mention a ton of dishes). Most nights, I like to keep things simple, elegant and applicable to real life. Having a system in place for shopping, preparing and cooking real foods is key.
4. Eat Less Junk
Enough said. Check the labels. If there is a long list of ingredients, especially ones that are not identifiable, move on. Better yet, try to eat more foods that don’t come with a label, like fruits and vegetables. Understanding the transformational power of food, nutrition and healthy living is like having a secret weapon. It’s like jet fuel for your goals.
5. Upgrade Your Mindset
Underneath all of your food choices is a pattern of thinking. Your beliefs, feelings and thoughts influence those choices. Doing the deeper work to identify your beliefs and alter the patterns that are driving you will establish lasting changes. Upgrade how you think and say goodbye to guilt-laden eating for a breakthrough in your wellness.
6. Small Changes Create Big Results
You don’t have to turn your life upside down to become more energized, focused and purposeful. What’s actually much more sustainable is to make small changes that easily integrate into your life. Changing everything overnight or following a strict cookie-cutter nutrition plan doesn’t work for those of us trying to live authentic lives. Wellness is a lifestyle, not a to-do list.
